BE STILL!

BE STILL!

Psalms 46:1
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

Troubles anyone? Of course, we all have troubles and David suggests God is our help. HOWEVER, that help requires an ACTION. Follow me here as we read down the chapter to verse 10, “Be still, and know that I am God”.

That’s the ACTION I wish to instill today. BE STILL.

When was the last time you just sat still? Can’t remember? I was overcome with this when I started listening to the words of Jesus in Matthew. I went back to the Psalmist and really HEARD these words. The entire chapter tells of the way in which we live today. The earth be removed.

Did you all watch the historical events of the 33 miners being extracted from the belly of the earth? We all watched in humble, thankful relief. Really look at verse 2. “Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea:” Did you hear that? The earth be removed!!!!! As the “phoenix capsule” arose from the belly of the earth, one could have heard a pin drop across the entire world…
BE STILL! I heard a journalist interwiew one of the drillers and wanted to know where all of the champagne and celebrations were and the driller replied that this is the most somber experience he had ever had in his life. He was humbled and recognized the stillness of the operations. God was exhalted among the heathen.vs 10. “I will be exalted in the earth”! What a wonderful fulfillment of His promise!
Today, the Action is BE STILL! Close your eyes and close out the world. Begin a quiet quest in your own heart to find what action God wants you to take. Maybe it’s more quiet time with Him, devotion with your Family, directed prayer for a loved one or just a phone call to a friend that He is asking you to do. Maybe the quiet time in the stillness of your heart is telling you that you never even had a real personal relationship with Jesus. Have you been still enough to ask Jesus into your heart as your own personal savior? Have you ever really trusted Jesus to have that relationship where you KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life? If not, BE STILL! Ask Jesus into your heart! Repent of your sins, and ask Him to be the Master of your life.

In Christian Friendship,
Cindy

I followed your lead today... read the points of your view and surrendered to humility... wept because your words touched my heart. Cindy this is a beautiful lesson and I will read it over and over in the days ahead. Thankyou for putting out here... your heart Too! Brenda Williams
